ALUMINIUM ALLOY INGOTS
P. Carney Ltd. specialises in the production of high-grade, low-copper and low-iron aluminium alloy ingots, including LM25, 233, 239D & 239A type alloys, manufactured to customers’ specific specifications.
The company can produce the full range of BS 1490 and DIN standard alloys, as well as tailor its products to meet more stringent customer-specific and in-house specifications. This flexibility, combined with a strong focus on quality and consistency, enables P. Carney Ltd. to meet the precise requirements of a wide range of customers and applications.
Scrap purchase
P. Carney Ltd. sources its non-ferrous metals from a wide range of materials and industries, including manufacturing off-cuts, insulated cables, factory waste and other suitable reclaimed materials.
All incoming material is carefully prepared, processed and controlled to meet internationally recognised standards and, where required, specific customer requirements. This rigorous approach ensures the consistent quality and integrity of the raw materials used throughout the production process.
Using factory waste and scrap as its primary raw materials, P. Carney Ltd. operates a high-tech, high capacity aluminium reclamation facility dedicated to producing high-quality aluminium ingots.
The facility combines advanced technology with efficient processing methods to recover and transform reclaimed aluminium into consistent, high-grade ingots, supplying a diverse range of customers across domestic and international markets.

Quality
With regard to metal quality, it must be a “given” in this day and age that the supplier’s material will meet the customer’s chemical specification. However, we have come to appreciate over the years that the cleanliness of the metal plays a major part in the production of good castings. With this in mind P. Carney Ltd has invested heavily in reaching a position whereby we produce top quality material. We utilise the best process technologies in the secondary aluminium ingot production industry in the area of metal fluxing and degassing, metal pouring / casting, metal filtration and metal cleanliness and gas content testing.
In the past we have enlisted the services of Professor John Campbell, who has assisted and advised us during his visits to our plant. Professor Campbell is renowned world wide for his vast knowledge in metal casting techniques and much of his research work and knowledge has been published over the years.
We have also worked with N-Tec Ltd (a metals laboratory in the UK) who have advised on physical aspects of our processes and who also have carried out independent tests on our material.
